Book one of Ron Foster`s classic Prepper fiction Trilogy A solar storm has just hit the world causing a EMP event. A emergency manager visiting Atlanta GA must find his way back home after this electromagnetic pulse has stranded him away from his vehicle and his beloved "bug out bag". With 180 miles to go to his destination, David must let his street smarts and survival skills kick in as food and water becomes scarce and societal breakdown proceeds at an unrelenting pace. An interesting and often funny cast of characters from the Deep South helps the displaced Prepper on his way, as he shares his knowledge of how to make do with common items in order to live another day. Ultimately, he acquires an old tractor and heads for home on a car-littered interstate. This is book one of the Prepper Trilogy. This book version reflects a change in cover and cream paper to save my paperback readers some money. Enjoy!

Some folks might call what Donald is trying to create with his little rural house as an effort to become more self-sufficient. Donald can agree with that line of thinking, but the way he sees it, it is going to be own personal uphill battle and race against time to create a safe haven "bugout" location before a NASA predicted solar storm hits. His friends and family think his extra workload is a waste of time and energy. His neighbors' think he is a bit quirky somewhat or eccentric. He is not. He is just another personally driven good ol boy prepper on a mission. He is about to perform a labor of love and preparedness that he hopes might just save him and the little dead end road community he just moved into. He is believing in and heeding NASA`s warnings, as well as his own premonitions of impending societal breakdown. Like all Ron's books, he takes his adventure story and weaves in prepper tricks and introduces some new survival supplies that possibly most folks haven't thought about yet and integrates them into his storyline. This book focuses on building a bug out location from scratch, with permaculture and disaster psychology applied to an unfolding catastrophe. Basicaly how will people act as an apocalyptic event unfolds. This book is dedicated to the new Real Day Prepper show and Mr. Foster has actually accomplished much of what is written in this book as a real life experience in developing a self reliant lifestyle
There are millions of "preppers" that are working feverishly every day to get prepared for what they fear is a disaster about to happen in America. The motivation for prepping is different for each person. Donald has been getting his farmstead ready by making it more self-reliant in case of a solar storm occurrence that the experts say had a 12% chance of taking the electrical grid out. They should have said a 100% because it has happened and Donald was no where near done prepping for it when it occurred. Now the burden is on his shoulders to figure out how to pull the community together for mutual survival while trying to hold onto his own small store of preps. The Sun has exploded a coronal mass ejection and sun spot activity sent electromagnetic waves toward Earth that disabled all power and communications. His pursuing self-reliance to optimize return on resources might of just backfired on him and made him a target, as he is about to get overwhelmed with people who had not prepared and are asking or demanding to share in the food that he has put away for his family. Prepper community core values include 1) Being responsible for our own destiny as individuals, and 2) Assisting one another to advance our well being. Prepper wisdom: dictates that you are your own best bet. If you begin your life with that premise, then it will be hard to become a victim. That does not mean that you will not encounter barriers to your achievements or get victimized. This is the hard part to prepare for.
After a cyber attack and wide spread sabotage by terrorists took out the United States electrical grid one group of survivors found themselves far worse off than the rest of the populace. This group found themselves stranded on an island with no way to cross the flooded river and soggy lands surrounding them as starvation and desperation began. The one thing they had going for them though to get themselves through this ordeal was that they were preppers, people who prepare for disasters as a li

The ARkStorm (for Atmospheric River 1000 Storm) has brought a devastating flood of biblical proportions to California forcing millions of people to evacuate. For the preppers attending PrepperStock this year the troubles brought about by the this disaster have just begun as the economy begins a slow collapse and acts of terrorism threaten America`s survival. Refugee camps are filling up with millions of evacuees who remained at shelters and were not lucky enough to bunk in with friends or relatives and try and start over again. The end of a functioning U.S. economy is compounded by mysterious grid failures nationwide. The ARkStorm series is patterned after the 1861–62 historical events that flooded the central valley of California. The scientifically realistic "superstorm" scenario developed and published by the United States Geological Survey has been adapted as a story line that includes the author's modern day applications of emergency management principles with a prepper community slant.
